On a nice Sunday evening, me and 5 of my housemates went to a Thai restaurant called Sontaya for a nice dinner. The restaurant is just 4 tram stops away.
Good that it wasn't too packed.
"Sontaya literally means sunset, but as with many words in Thailand, it has a deeper meaning that refers to experiences that form part of daily living. In the Thailand country side, as the sun sinks, the workers leave the rice fields and saunter back to their shelters to meet together with family and friends for drinks...."
We brought our own drink. Khush is a drinker, so she has a lot of wine. We brought along red and white wine. This time I went for white wine and it's a lot better than red wine as it's not bitter at all. All of us had wine except for Alyaa. She ordered 2 glasses of coke. Below is me with Alyaa.
Cheers!! Khush and Jessie (in the picture).
Appetizer. I've forgotten what's the name of this dish. The sauce was so nice!
Red Thai curry prawns shared among Khush and Jessie. Both of them kept on saying that it's hot, but it's not very spicy actually. Lol. So weird, Khush is an Indian who cannot eat spicy food.
Pri had vegetarian red thai curry.
Me and Alyaa shared the tomyam prawns. Awesome! I miss tomyam! The prawns were big and fresh.
Pad Thai. All of them know what was it except me. It's noodles with nuts, brocolli and prawns. More prawns! Hehe. I like the nuts! =D
Khush ordered banana fritters. She liked it with ice cream, but I just found it okay. I still prefer Malaysian banana fritters that we can get from the vans on the streets. More crunchy.
A warm day but cold night. We were freezing while waiting for the tram. Swt. Once again, my housemates appeared in my blog again. From left to right: Pri and Jessie (appeared in the tulip festival post), Khush (in previous post) and Alyaa (first appeared in the raya celebration post). This might refresh your memory. =p
