Random #16

Just some random photos for a random post.

A sulphur-crested cockatoo foraging. Sometimes these cockatoos can give me heart attack. I was walking to uni early in the morning with a half-asleep look, and then suddenly a loud 'GAH... GAHH...' sound made me skip a step. It was a cockatoo calling while it flew passed me. And then I woke up instantly. Swt die. My friend, Vivien, got so excited when she saw them and thought they escaped from the zoo, which surprised me because it was not her first time coming to Australia for holidays. Lol.

A nice day to have lunch on the lawn.

Ducks are everywhere in my uni and it will be a shame if I don't know my uni ducks after spending more than 3 years here. This is a pacific black duck walking towards us while we were eating.

My first time having a duck so close to me. So cute! I fed it muffin. Hehe.

Presents I got from two of my Japanese friends.

MD is into baking nowadays. This is one of it. I can't remember the name of this cake, so I just call it frangelico cheesecake. Lol. And it's very nice as I like cakes with alcohol.

This menu is still puzzling me. Eventhough my mandarin has dropped to kindergarden level, but I'm pretty sure that two characters mean sugar. Or is curry sauce now called 'sha tang'? @@"

My first roasted milk tea from Chatime. We went during dinner time and so glad that it's empty. Other times are just packed with people plus a long queue.

Waiting for campus bus in front of AgriBio at 6pm. It's getting dark earlier and it is so cool.

White chocolate marble cake baked by one of my Honours mate for my and another Irish friend's birthday as his birthday was just one day after mine. I'm not a white chocolate fan but this cake changed my view on white chocolate cake. It's so nice and minty. The only problem is it's so tiring to cut this cake. One tough chocolate cake. Lol.

Ok, now I'm off to collect another batch of random photos for another random post.

Singapore Zoo

Have a bit of time to go through the photos taken during my Singapore trip and I can say this 3 days trip was definitely not enough! I didn't even have time to pay a visit to my bro's house! Lol.

Anyway, here are some photos of the lovely animals at the Singapore Zoo. Singapore Zoo is one of the amazing places that I will consider spending my whole life in. If there's winter in Singapore, I actually will choose to stay in this zoo over Melbourne Zoo anytime. See how it looks like a forest instead of a zoo? Plus,  some of the cute animals are able to roam around and say 'hello' to you as you walk in.

This post is going to be flooded with pictures. Not too many maybe as I've taken a lot of them out. First one will be the Malayan tapir!! =D

Babirusa. I remember watching these guys on Animal Planet. Their tusks will keep growing and, in some cases, they can become so long until they can penetrate into the skull.

The life of a panda is too good to be true. Everyday eat and sleep in an air con room, and get back massage too perhaps. Lol. Like this then I also want to be a panda!!

After meeting Po, we then shift our attention to Master Shifu. I don't mind being a red panda too. XD

My first time seeing a white tiger and he's already showing me his unglam pose. Haha.

Look at the environment. Not feeling like I'm at a zoo at all. My family was walking too fast! I haven't even get a proper view of each animal and take nice pictures, they're already saying 'next!'. Swt.

 Cheetah!

Jaguar eyeing on the meat that's going to be dropped down.

All time favorite, penguins!

Free roaming orang utans!! You can get 'head prize' if you are lucky. It's either in solid or liquid form. Hehe.

Sea lion show.

Manatee a.k.a. the sexy mermaid. I wanna hug it so badly.

After hearing from people saying how awesome the Singapore Zoo is for years, now that I've finally seen the zoo with my own eyes, I'm fully convinced that this zoo is really one of the best of the best. I still have yet to visit the night safari and the bird park. So I still got a reason to come back. Haha.
