Newbie Tutor

I have applied for a tutor position in the Homework Club organised by the GK Society. It is to provide extra help for students who cannot afford private tuition. So at the moment, I'm tutoring a student in Year 12 biology at Charles La Trobe College. It is just next to my uni but I have never been there before.

It looks like one small normal building from the outside. So I didn't expect much to see.

Although outside looks ordinary, but inside is much prettier than I thought. The reception and the lounge actually look grand. It's a small college and the staffs and students know each other quite well. The tutorial was an informal one, so we just had it at the foyer. I think there's also a kitchen somewhere as they kept offering me tea or coffee. Lol. Paiseh...
Tutoring is not as scary as I thought, maybe because it's only one on one. I just take her as a friend instead of a student. This way is less stressful for both of us. I actually don't remember what I have learnt in college, that's why I was desperate for their notes before this. I must also thank myself for still keeping my first year genetics notes in my laptop. At least I can remember what Punnett's square is. Lol. XD

Costco

Remember that 60 rolls of toilet paper that Min Dee bought back last time? I got 30 rolls from her and I'm not even half way through finishing them. The place where people can get all these stuff in bulk is called Costco! It is located at Docklands and you definitely need a car if you are going to buy things from there. It won't be possible to drag a bag of 60 toilet rolls on the ground and all the way back home. Pengsan.

Costco is like a warehouse where everything comes in bulk and cheap. Even the trolley is twice the size of a normal supermarket trolley.

There's also a giant cold storage room for cold food. It feels like you are walking into a giant refrigerator. Can't stay too long inside. So you have to quickly grab what you want and run back out. Lol.

Last time was 60 toilet rolls, now it's 20 soap bars! And it's only for $6 (~RM18)! Wahahaha..... Can last me 10 years. And I got a request from my friend saying: "Kim, no matter how old I am, no matter how old you are, I have your FB, you have my FB, please let me know when you finish using all these soaps." Haha! Now people don't need to ask me what soap I'm using for the next few years as my answer will be the same until the very last soap is gone. Lol.

Costco will be the best place to shop for daily goods when there's a big family. Don't talk about housewives, even young people like us love it too. Lol.

My room is so quiet now without these two making noises and keeping me company. They were the ones that kept me in super good mood and de-stressed for the past two weeks. See what they usually do to their castle. Lol.
Lonely......

Random #12

Don't know what's the problem with the headings of my previous layout, and I tried reinstalling it but failed, so might as well just change the whole layout and give my blog a new look. Hope this one is as good looking as the one before to everyone.

At the moment, nothing much is happening except reports and literature review. The weather is slowly getting cooler and it's been raining the whole week. The temperature is usually below 16 degree Celsius, which is most suitable for me to walk to and back from uni without suffering from heat stroke.

The ducks are hiding from the rain.

Bump into this random cute picture. So protective. =)

Cooking Updates

These are my summer/autumn cooking collections. First up is barley fu chok. Wasn't very nice though.

Next is peanut congee, second attempt. Smelled nice, looked nice, just a bit tasteless. But it's much more nicer than my first try. And it wasn't a right food to eat on a summer night. The more I eat the more I sweat. Swt.

Wraps are everywhere. So I tried to make one, and got addicted. My own wrap is almost twice the size of the wrap I buy outside as I tend to stuff more things inside. I can even charge it $8 if I want. Lol.

Japanese curry fish ball.

Seafood alfredo fettucine. Don't have to go all the way down to city to have one. =D

Mushroom salad with Goma dressing. Got the idea from a Korean restaurant the other day. This was just a simple one. I'm going to add more things into it the next time I make it.

And the latest cooking of mine is the tuna baked pasta. Almost the same as a pizza but inside is fettucine instead of bread. So nice! Wahahaha....
This only happens once in a blue moon when I have the mood to cook new food, and also considering that it's easy and fast to make. So many Western food, should move to the Asian side now. Next one most probably will be a type of 'tong sui'. Lol.

Arturo

Just recently, I have became the biggest fan of Arturo, the Brazilian tapir in the zoo. He is a new addition in the zoo. There used to be a Malayan tapir in here, but because it has got some eye problems, so it's always off display and so they sent it to another zoo. I am soooo glad that the zoo has brought in another tapir to fill the missing spot as tapir has a weird look that make me fall in love immediately when I first saw it. Although I have already known how tapir looks like through books and pictures, but never knew how ADORABLE it is until I saw it for real.

Arturo is very calm and blur looking, and he's very used to being with human ever since birth. So cute! Just like Shadow. Hehe...

Sooo adorably weird and cuteeee!!!! I can spend the whole afternoon at his place and telling people how cute he is. So want to bring him home. If I am to become a zookeeper, I would definitely be a tapir keeper! <3<3<3
