Chilling Under The Sea

Summer holidays have turned from 3 months to 3 weeks. So I'm going to enjoy myself as much as possible before classes start again. I went to the Melbourne Aquarium with a friend, Mae May, who's just came back from Malaysia.

First and foremost, penguins!!!! Because it's breeding season, some king penguins are hatching their eggs between their feet. O.O

And some of gentoo penguins are moulting. Soooo furry. Feel like brushing off their loose feather. The penguins are grumpier during moulting period.

2 stone fishes. Can see both of them?

Bioluminescence. So beautiful. I can go blind if I stare at it anymore longer.

Seadragon! It's hard to get a clearer photo as they keep swimming plus the reflection from the glass.

They even have a chinese new year banner. Haha. Year of the dragon!! XD

A nice view across the Yarra River from the aquarium.

Glass catfish. The horizontal line that you see inside the body is actually its spine. They are transparent, like glass. @@"

Axolotl. The petshop has this too and I have to use chopstick to feed him because it's blind. What a fancy way of feeding a pet. Haha. So cute! Gonna miss feeding these guys.

Jellyfish!! Boing boing boing~~

Krill!! I find them funny-looking after watching 'Happy Feet 2'. This picture reminds me of Brad Pitt. Lol!

Nemo!! This was a lucky shot. They were so fast at coming out and hiding back in again. Made all the pictures blur. Swt. I like this picture. Nemo is soooo cuteee!!

Japanese spider crab. Aaahhhh!!! (sound effect from olden days monster horror movie). It's huge!! Only the body itself is already bigger than my head. @@"

Nautilus. A living fossil. So cool!

Then, we went to watch the dive feed. Can see the divers feeding the rays and big fishes. The stingrays are sooooo huge! Like a carpet. Because their mouths are underneath, so they will land on top of the diver for the food. Lol. I'm so tempted to do diving now!! XD

Ever since I've started guiding in the zoo, I find the aquarium is so small. I even find the zoo small now. Lol. Don't know when will I come again but it's a great way to stay cool in this hot summer day and have fun at the same time.

After the aquarium, we went to San Churros for tea. These are churros, or Spanish donuts. Dip into the chocolate and it'll be like heaven!

I've been here for a few times already but never have tried their cakes before. So we went for this chocolate cake. This cake has an interesting name, called Death of Chocolate. Lol! After we took our first bite, we finally know why they named it like that. That 2 layers of chocolate make the cake super rich. Rich until can nose bleed.

Hope I'm not constipated after this. @@"
