Have wanted to go to Ballarat for a long time since it's one of the tourist attraction that I haven't been yet. Finally there's someone to go with me --Mae May! We took the Vline train that can bring us to the countryside. It's got nice comfortable seats and toilets.
Very nice scenery. There's about 15 minutes gap between the stops. Zzzz....
After one and a half hour, we finally reached Ballarat station.
There's a shuttle bus waiting for us already. Hehe. We always love the tourist spots that arrange direct transport. Don't have to worry our way.
We're here at Sovereign Hill! The weather was awesome! It's chilling, like autumn. I feel more like a holiday trip when the weather is cooler.
Ballarat is famous for its gold mine during the Victorian gold rush in the 19th century. So all the buildings here are just like those in that era. First one is the blacksmith. Can buy a $3 horseshoe for goodluck.

The runway was very long and the ball rolled extremly slow. However, the pins were quite easy to get though. Hehe.

Watching gold smelting. The melted gold was 1200 degree celsius. When he was explaining how they seperate the gold from the ore, I recalled abit of form 5 chemistry but too bad I've already forgotten mostly what I've learned. Seeing it for real is so much easier to remember.
This is the 3kg gold bar when it's cooled. Safe inside the locker.

There's also a Gold Museum with all the histories of gold in Victoria. There're alot of huge chunks of gold inside.
It's a super tiring day. I just slept through the train journey. Ballarat, finally checked. XD
