Weekend Brunch

One of the lady, Helen, from FOCUS invited us to have brunch at her house in Brunswick. We started with muffins (walnut, chocolate and blueberry). The muffins were so huge! Had to cut them into 4 parts.
Andrew, Helen's husband. He's an English and he made english breakfast for us. Hehe. The sausages so hangus. @@" But still nice because it's more crispy. Hehe. I only ate one sausage, won't get cancer right? Mushrooms!! Yay!! They were so nice! Now I'm missing those big black chinese mushroom that they usually serve in restaurants. =(
They have coffee maker in the house. Angmo really are coffee people.

It's a small single storey house but the living room is very nice.

The living room is decorated with unique ornaments such as mirror image of a clock. It's actually working and it will stimulate your brain whenever you are looking at the time. xD

This Hi-fi will make mom fly to the sky. Hehe. The music can be so different when it is listened from a big speaker like this. There also have two samurai swords but didn't take a picture of them.

Andrew and Helen with their funny mailbox.

After brunch, some of us followed Kate back to her house to restore some tables and drawer. She used to bring back furnitures from the tip and decorate them. Then she either sell them or keep them herself.

This an old table that she brought back.We scraped out the surface layer with paint remover. It became like this.
After we smoothed the surface, we cut out some pictures from old magazines and stuck on it. Those were oldies pictures. All of them were in black and white like this..
By the way, who is Sheila Bradley? =s

The table became like this and the last thing was to paint it with varnish. I had no idea whether will there be people who want to buy it or not. Lol.
Meanwhile, the drawer will be stuck with the world map. It looked better when we washed off the white patches. They were flour because the glue we used was made up of flour and water.
It took us few hours to get things done. After that, Kate baked a ginger cake for us. It was very nice because the top part was very crispy, like eating biscuit. Haha.
